However, I did have a fairly pleasant time looking like an albino beached whale sprawled across the sand enjoying the rest after the busy morning. BUT we did find one on Friday night. Saturday morning we were ready to collect our car and google mapped the offices. We knew it wouldn’t exactly be enjoyable, but it was close enough to walk.

What we didn’t take into account was the possibility that they could have mislabelled their offices on the internet and we had just walked roughly 3,5 kilometres ( we got a bit lost) to a place that didn’t exist. All is well that ends well though, and we ended up getting our Tata Indica delivered to us at a nearby mall an hour or so later. I’m so glad we sorted out a car. Everyone makes out that places in Durban are so far apart, but it’s really not that bad. It’s like M4, Balito, M4, Umhlanga, M4, Durban, and some places in between? Like what’s up with that. However, NONE OF THIS SHIT IS SIGN POSTED.

Anyway, we randomly decided on our way home from Ushaka when driving past Umhlanga, to go to the lighthouse. It was a last minute decision with a sudden turn off and then we came to an intersection and luckily, thanks to Jess’s quick- fire decision making , we ended up taking the turn off back onto the M4. So yeah, we like totally were in Umhlanga for like, 3. It was awesome. The nightlife in Ballito seems pretty good. We’ve had two evenings of sundowners at a restaurant overlooking the beach, followed by dinner at home, and bed by 9pm latest. Last night we didn’t even make the sundowners, but we did get take away authentic Durban curry  (mild of course) and that was pretty exciting. Tomorrow night we’re thinking of allowing us a sense of home and doing Spur 2 for 1.

So that’s a bit of what we’ve been up to, with a lot left out. Like the fact that we made dinner tonight on our toes, because a cockroach was somewhere in the vicinity and neither of us was brave enough to catch it.

Varsity starts tomorrow, and I’m here until Tuesday. Hangover is on right now, I’m going to go fall asleep watching it. Toodleloo motherf*ckers.
